From first breathe to the last, a human lives for just a thing; Identity. Everything in between birth and death changes, the priorities are adjusted time and again but that’s the only thing which will be atop in every phase of life. The most interesting fact is that, identity is even immortal. This is a bitter truth and to know the reasons why stay calm and study the lines below with care. One’s identity consists of three basic elements: personal identity, family identity and social identity. Each of these elements is determined by ‘individual circumstances’, the values each individual carries and the beliefs one abides by.
When you’re not able to understand your own existence on this beautiful planet, you’re given a name, gender, ethnicity and what not? You’re given blessings to always keep our name and fame high, above all others. And every innocent children feels that the most significant thing in the word is their name.
The teenagers are always taught to get good grades at school, be among the top performers, and then become a successful person in life. Youths are always encouraged to earn for their livings and become rich and successful. All these nouns are ultimately guided by the values of identity.
Humans have been categorized as the unsatisfying creatures. Every desire they have is followed by the next set. With time and achievements, the priorities changes but the only thing that remains at the same tier is the reason behind all this hustle in life; the Identity.
It’s not limited to individuals but every race of people, their community, society, nation, regions and continents…. and to people with similar beliefs ad faith. You often glorify your identity. You sometimes thank god for making you what you are and that gives you some feeling of temporary happiness but no profound feelings of satisfaction.

There’s no record of any war in the world that has not originated as some side effects of Identity conflicts. There’s no politics that doesn’t play, in some way, with the sentiment of people and their existence. There would be no discrimination among fellow humans despite their color and race. There would not have been any issues at all if and only if human could avoid regarding and running after their identity in the name of a language, religion, class, superiority social status, money they own, and so on.
Even the innocent people with no property at all have an identity of social status as poor. People who do not have any nation as home are also identified as refugees. If you study well and get a career, you’re literate or elite and even if you completely leave that path, you’re still compared with others and hanged with an identity as illiterate. This is so insane; everyone has some identity or if not, they are given an identity by hook or by crook.
But why this keeps happening then?
The answer is so simple and clear. This is all due to the immortality of the Identity. No living being is immortal but their identity can remain forever if they’re able to take it to the optimum tier where the entire world keeps an eye and notice on. We’re all struggling for this particular thing despite defined destiny. There’s no exception to this flow of life as without the significance of one’s identity, the cycle stops. We can’t avoid this because if we give no place for identity in our priority list of life, there’s no life at all.
